The first yunnan architecture student construction festival and 2018 "China construction humanities cup" construction competition was held at the school of architecture and urban planning, kunming university of science and technology from December 28 to 30. As the only middle school team participating in the competition, kunming shiqing international school team competed with 19 other college teams and finally won the special award of this construction festival.

The competition requires contestants to design and produce a space work that can carry at least 1-2 people by using corrugated paper, cardboard, paper tube and other materials, and by means of binding, mortise and tenon, weaving, rope, bolt, wire binding and other joint components. The design work of our school team is "rotating black tiger". This concept was put forward by zhao yijie, a ninth-grade student in our school. Zhao yijie, a student who loves mathematics, found that many plants in nature are masters in mathematics. There is a kind of long-lived fruit called "black tiger", whose shape is very similar to that of a football. A sphere can be formed by 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons.

This is the first time that students of our school have participated in such a construction competition. This competition has stimulated the students' potential of construction and design, and cultivated their creative thinking and innovative spirit.
