The 2019 global CREATE junior robot championship has kicked off. It was held in Omaha, the birthplace of former US President ford and investor warren buffett. Our school student wu jinghan and his team took part in this competition. After three days of intense competition, wu jinghan and his teammates made it to the top 8 and got a good result.

The CREATE junior robotics championship is a high-level event in the field of junior robotics worldwide. It is recognized by guinness as the most participated robotics event in the world and is influential in junior robotics competitions. The events include CREATE JR, VEX IQ (primary school group, junior high school group), VEX EDR (junior high school group, senior high school group) and other 6 major events.

Wu jinghan participated in the VEX EDR junior high school competition. The competition was all conducted by teams (more than 3 people). A total of 60 teams from all over the world participated in the competition of junior middle school. According to the rules of the game, each team needs one player for control, one for "sentry", and one for recording and timing. The operator is mainly responsible for controlling the robot to win points; The "sentry" notifies the referee and reminds the operator of a foul. Students who are responsible for recording and timing will tell the dedicated operators the time during the game, and provide the video materials after the game for their teammates to summarize the deficiencies so as to improve. The competition is divided into two stages.

Wu jinghan's team consists of three people. The first game of the first phase got off to a bad start when their machine's automatic program malfunctioned and suddenly lost its connection. In the interval before the second game, wu jinghan and his teammates did not mess up, urgently modified the program and reconnected the machine to ensure the smooth progress of the second game. In the second game, they showed real strength and won the match 7-3 in the automatic section and 15-4 in the control section. After elimination of 40 teams, they made almost no mistakes. After elimination of 40 teams, they entered the finals to compete more fiercely with the remaining 20 teams.

Unfortunately, in the finals, due to tactical errors, coupled with the opponent's nearly perfect cooperation, wujing han team stopped the top eight.

This competition means a lot to wu jinghan, who said after the competition: "I feel reluctant to finish eighth, but this result is beyond my imagination." He believes teamwork is the most important part of the game. "every game is a meaningful exercise. "I was deeply impressed by the competition, which not only tests the players' ability to control robots, judge and choose tactics, but also requires the understanding and cooperation of each other. Only when teammates understand each other and cooperate well can they achieve better results."
