On May 25th, 2019, the second art festival of kunming shiqing international school was grandly held in cuihu hotel. All teachers, students, parents and some invited guests of our school participated in this art festival. In the activity, the students showed their artistic talents to the best of their ability and presented a splendid audio-visual feast to the parents and guests present.

The festival was born last summer when Mr.Gary, a visual arts teacher, and Mr.Kel, a theater teacher at kunming's shiqing international school, proposed an exhibition of art works for students. This art festival followed the form of the first art festival and added more ways of art presentation. In addition to students' painting, sculpture, handwork and other works exhibition and drama performance, it also offered singing, musical instrument performance, dance and prose recitation to parents and audience, with more rich contents. All the teachers, students, parents and visitors had a wonderful and romantic art night.

On the day of the activity, parents were guided by students to visit and appreciate the works created by all students, including tile sculptures, handwork and paintings. The students confidently and excitedly introduced their creative ideas and creative process to the guests.

At seven o 'clock, the art festival begins. A popular song of grade 8, "We Will Rock You", aroused the atmosphere of the audience.

After that, the fifth grade students brought Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale "the emperor's new clothes", the eighth grade students brought Shakespeare's drama "the seven stages of life", and the ninth grade students brought the Arabian nights. Compared with last year's drama performance, the students' performance level has been greatly improved. The lines are spoken smoothly and expressively, the movements are more abundant, and the characters are more and more accurate. The performance was vivid and engrossing.

The girls of the jazz dance club pushed the performance to a climax with their passionate dance, and the audience applauded and cheered continuously.

Yan wenhan, The "lark bird" of our school, who is in grade 5, first gave us "Thank You for The Music", and then sang "A Little Love" together with her good friend liu chenxi. The song was clear, mellow and beautiful, which affected every audience present.

Students in grade 11 recited su shi's "fu to chibi", which was full of emotion.

Students from grade five, six and seven performed the performance of English nursery rhymes, and the catchy songs brought us back to the age of innocence.

With the accompaniment of drum and guitar, grade 8 student wang chaoyang sang "ordinary road", singing out the passion and stubbornness of the youth.

Hulk, the hip-hop prince of shiqing, brought us the Talk Box performance this time, which brought us a fresh look.

Happy moments are always short. Before you know it, the show is coming to an end, but both the audience and the performers are still hungry. Finally, All the students sang "We Are All in This Together", and the art festival came to an end in the enthusiastic chorus of the students.

In this art festival, we continue the tradition of awarding scholarships to kunming shiqing international school. Liu chenxi, grade 5, Yang xiufeng, grade 6, Yang qianyi, grade 7, zhang qunxun, grade 8, zhou yingrui, grade 9, feng ziyi, grade 10, and Yang jiaru, grade 11 received the awards.

Art is an integral part of a quality life and an important part of the IB curriculum. The holding of the art festival allows students of our school to learn cultural knowledge and have time and space for personalized artistic creation, so as to fully express themselves and show themselves. They experience art and life in practice, and become lifelong learners with all-round development, creativity and personality charm.

The show always ends, but youth never ends! We look forward to the next year to bring you more excellent works of art!
